Patch 0.2.1.0 Live for Testing

Hey, GZW Community,

Patch 0.2.1.0 is now live on the public-experimental branch. Public-experimental is open to everyone who owns Gray Zone Warfare, and its purpose is mass-testing bug fixes during an Update's lifecycle.

The patch features over one hundred changes, both big and small. Here’s a preview of some of the most exciting ones. The full changelog will be released when the patch goes live.

Key Fixes:
  • FSR 3.1 Frame Gen on Nvidia GPUs Now Enabled
  • Excessive flickering when using FidelityFX Frame Generation on Nvidia GPUs
  • Several client crashes, including the crash with the error message GameThread timed out waiting for RenderThread after 120.00 secs
  • Doors incorrectly shown as closed when another player opened them
  • Flickering lights inside buildings
  • Players unable to join the squad leader's server under specific circumstances
  • Squad chat sometimes failing to work after joining a server
  • Squad invitations sometimes failing to create a squad
  • Duplicate voice audio when squad mates are near each other
  • Loud sound or loss of audio when other players are connecting or disconnecting from voice chat
You can find the specific steps for testing in the following FEEDBACK FORM. Please read the instructions carefully and fill it out once you are done with the playtest.

In this Public Experimental, you will have your live server progression from this Wednesday, however, your live progression WILL NOT BE AFFECTED by playing in the experimental.

If you encounter a crash, please turn on GPU Debugging in the game settings.

How do you join the public-experimental branch?
  1. Go offline and online in Steam (via the Steam tab in the upper left corner).
  2. Right-click on Gray Zone Warfare and select "Properties."
  3. In the "Betas" tab, click on "none" ("Beta Participation" section) and select "public-experimental." server
  4. Update the game.
The Public Experimental servers will be open for a few days.
