Hey, GZW Community,
With the launch of the Winds of War update, we’re taking important steps to strengthen our anti-cheat efforts. Cheating undermines fair competition and damages the experience for everyone, and we take that seriously. That’s why we’re introducing new measures designed to make Gray Zone Warfare a more secure and fair environment for all players.
No Invasive Access
One of the key changes is the integration of Denuvo technology, which will help us increase the difficulty of tampering with the game. To be clear, we are not using the DRM component of Denuvo, nor are we implementing any new kernel-level anti-cheat measures. The version of Denuvo we’ve chosen operates at a different level, without invasive access to your system. This means you’ll benefit from improved protection without any downsides.
We understand that some players may have concerns. That’s why we made sure to thoroughly test this implementation before shipping it. Our internal performance benchmarks showed no detrimental impact on framerate or system responsiveness. GZW will run exactly as it did before, just with better protection.
Why We’re Keeping Some Details Under Wraps
We won’t be going into further detail about the specific anti-cheat measures we’ve implemented. Revealing those would only help cheat developers adapt, reducing the effectiveness of these systems before they’ve had a chance to do their job.
We know that transparency matters, and we’ll continue to communicate what we can. At the same time, protecting the integrity of the game means keeping some details confidential.
Reporting Cheaters
If you ever suspect a player of cheating, please report them to us using this link. Be sure to include conclusive video evidence with your report. Thank you for helping us keep the game fair.
As always, we appreciate your feedback and your continued support as we work to make Gray Zone Warfare the best it can be.
Every Move Matters,
